Fran, a few pictures of home (and hunting) life (mostly) after he came home!

Everything got back to just like before pretty fast; within a couple days he and Mr. Q were zipping up & down the stairs early in the morning, competing for the favorite chair (which Mr. Q'd ignored most of the time Fran was gone), and so forth.

A few more days and Fran started asking to go out (I said "Hail! no!, maybe in 2015 some time), and by November 15th he'd convinced me. After all, if the guy can take care of himself for 5 months and look that good, I guess I can let him out in the yard a little and trust he'll be safe. Of course there's still the question of how and why he got lost from the same neighborhood. But still, hunting's his life, so can't keep the little guy from that (but can restrict the overall quantity, for now).

By the way, check out that mouse he caught! He spent about 5 hours outside, most all of it in his one favorite spot, just waiting for that chance! (cats know patience.)
