Phil/Atlas r
Something I didn't notice when I got the wheels back from Earle Young (the builder) but later read about is the alignment of the hub logo so that it is aligned with the tube hole and rim logo. I read about this detail, sometimes called (really) an 'upskirt' wheel shot (yes, there are specific terms for bicycle wheel photography!!), and then checked: sure enough, Earle pays attention to /all/ the details!

Front wheel; see previous photo's commentary - these are great rims, by the way, and Phil Wood hubs are one extravagance I still consider non-negotiable on new builds!

631 again
That's "Handbuilt in the UK", that is, not 'the china'!

levers
(note in addition to NOS shift & brake levers [with NOS 919 hoods], my 'disheveled mummy bar tape wrapping [which feels, protects, and works perfectly of course])

top end
Well shit, look at that beauty: brown, gold, green, & silver. Note also Rough Stuff Fellowship (of which I am an overseas member) transfer.

another view, now improved with Fran the Cat
The bicycle's handsome & cool for sure, but nothing compared to Fran the Cat (or any other Cat)!

rear mech & dork disc, with CS protector
Note several subtle 'colours' of silver: the rims, the spokes, the dork disk, the chain, the freewheel, the rack, the chainstay protector, and the three on the derailleur [the body centre is painted silver, the pivots are anodized, and the cage is steel]!

bicolor yoke
… which I think looks even better than the all silver one I couldn't get. Note also mudguard 'long daruma' and spacing.

Dia Compe 983, two-tone yoke
Why the /hell/ do all tyres - automobile included - always have the single most important information (the minimum & maximum pressure!) in the smallest, hardest to read characters!? Note also the short M6 bolt I've got in the front thread of the crown to keep casual' water ingress (a longer stainless screw in the rear thread holds the daruma, but doesn't quite reach as far as the front thread - I need to get a shorter stainless one for the front, or just seal with some transparent silicone caulk).
